Disney for Adults

Disney World is the most wonderful place on Earth, isn't it? At least it is when you are 20 something, don't have to worry about kids and have a friend who works with Disney so we get free tickets!

If you are like us you can have fun anywhere you go, but we decided to visit Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Even in my twenties I loved meeting Disney characters! A great tip is to use the app, you can see where characters will be for photos, know the waits and get fast passes on rides, and maps!

When picking days to visit the multi-park theme world, January was perfect! Not so crowded that you can't move, and not so hot that you are miserable. My two close friends and I decided to go one weekend, and although I'm no longer on a college budget, I still like to find a great deal! Once you get there and get your tickets to the parks there are tons of free or cheaper things to do! We stayed at Disney's All Star resort, which was perfect for what we needed, nothing fancy. After all it was a reunion for us and we were only in the room a couple of hours a night to sleep. We used the free bus system from the resort to get to the parks and back each day, and then to Downtown Disney in the evenings. We stuck mainly to getting snacks throughout the day, since meals were usually more expensive. Of course I recommend making a reservation when you decide to eat a sit down meal in any of the parks, since there can be long waits no matter when you go. We did splurge and drink around the world at Epcot, where we ended in Mexico and ate dinner at San Angel Inn Restaurant. While we spent our money on drinks, we had a blast just looking through the shops and buildings in each "country"! In Animal Kingdom we enjoyed the free petting zoo and the safari ride.

After a long day of exploring each park, we always ended with the firework shows! The one in Epcot is spectacular, but they are all worth staying and watching. It gets crowded when everyone is leaving so we didn't hurry to wait. As a result our bus ride was less cramped, and we usually were heading to Downtown Disney anyway! Overall, Disney World can be a stressful vacation, if you let it! Just relax and enjoy the rides!
